If someone had asked me before that business trip whether I believed my husband could ever betray me, I would have answered without hesitation: no.
Because my husband — Andrew Morgan — was the man I trusted almost absolutely.
We had been married for eight years and had a six-year-old daughter named Lily. Andrew was a sales director at a tech company, earning around $180,000 a year. I worked as a senior HR manager for a logistics corporation, with an income not much lower than his. By all outward measures, our life was enviable.
Andrew often told people that I was an understanding wife — not overly jealous, always supportive of his career. I used to feel proud of that.

At the end of March that year, Andrew had a three-day conference in Las Vegas. Coincidentally, I was also assigned a business trip during the same period to meet a client. Andrew suggested:
“Why don’t you come with me? It’ll be convenient for work, and we can treat it like a short getaway.”
I agreed. In fact, I felt happy — it had been a long time since we’d had time alone together.
We left Lily with Andrew’s mother and flew to Las Vegas.

I didn’t suspect a thing.

On the very first night, Andrew already seemed different.
He said he had to meet clients in the evening and told me to rest early. I felt a bit disappointed but didn’t argue — his job had always been demanding.
Around 9 p.m., Andrew changed into a fresh shirt and sprayed cologne — something he rarely did for late-night meetings. I joked:
“Meeting clients, or going on a date?”
He laughed, avoiding my eyes.
“A female client. Just being polite.”
I laughed too, but something felt off.
At around 11 p.m., he returned to the room — but what caught my attention was that his key card didn’t work. Andrew had to go back down to the front desk to get it reprogrammed. When he came back, he looked irritated.
That night, I couldn’t sleep.
3. THE DOOR NEXT DOOR
On the second day, Andrew told me:
“I have another client dinner tonight. Don’t wait up.”
At around 10 p.m., I heard the door of the next room open. Because our room was at the end of the hallway, every sound echoed clearly.
I heard… Andrew’s voice.
My heart clenched.
I got out of bed and pressed my ear against the door. I couldn’t make out the words, only the soft laughter of a woman.
That was when I noticed something else: the room next door seemed to have been newly occupied the night before.

At around 11:30 p.m., the door next door opened again.
I cracked open my door and looked out.
Andrew stepped out of the room next door.
He adjusted his collar, smoothed his hair, his face relaxed in a way that made my stomach turn.
I froze.
Andrew didn’t see me. He turned and walked back toward our room, opening the door with his key card.
I quickly retreated inside, pretending to lie on the bed, my heart pounding violently.
Andrew walked in and lied without blinking:
“The dinner dragged on. I’m exhausted.”
I stared at him and suddenly felt like the man standing in front of me was a complete stranger.

I decided not to confront him immediately.
At around 1 a.m., Andrew said he wanted to grab another drink at the bar before coming back to sleep.
I nodded.
The moment the door closed, I grabbed my phone, turned on video recording, and quietly followed him.
Andrew didn’t go to the elevator.
Instead, he walked straight to the room next door and knocked three times.
The door opened.
A young blonde woman appeared, wearing a thin nightgown. She wrapped her arms around Andrew and pulled him inside.

I didn’t knock immediately.
I stood there, recording a few more seconds — enough to make denial impossible.
Then I pounded on the door.
“Andrew! Open the door!”
Chaos erupted inside.
I screamed loudly, loud enough for the entire floor to hear:

I ran down the hallway, shouting to the front desk:

Within minutes, the hotel manager, security guards, and staff arrived.
The door swung open.
Andrew stood there, pale as a ghost. The mistress clutched a blanket, crying hysterically.
I held up my phone.

Andrew dropped to his knees in front of me.
