STOLEN LEGACY: THE WEDDING NIGHT TRAP THAT RUINED A MILLIONAIRE
PART 1
Michael was a brilliant architect in Los Angeles, blessed with a devoted wife named Grace. Throughout their eight years of marriage, Grace worked tirelessly, saving every single dollar to help him build his own architectural firm. She was a selfless, traditional woman who took wonderful care of both their families and gave birth to two adorable daughters. Yet, as his company expanded, Michael began to feel stifled by a wife who dressed simply and never cared for glamour.
Deep down, Michael harbored an overwhelming obsession: he desperately wanted a son to inherit his growing empire, and he lusted after a glamorous trophy wife to parade around at high-society galas. However, following the difficult birth of their second daughter, Grace suffered severe complications, and doctors confirmed she could never carry a pregnancy again.
His simmering discontent drove Michael right into the arms of Victoria—a captivating female entrepreneur who wore designer clothes, drove luxury sports cars, and exuded pure sophistication. Victoria pretended to idolize Michael’s talent, constantly whispering sweet promises of how they could build a legendary architectural dynasty together if they were married.
After six months of secret rendezvous, Victoria unexpectedly handed Michael an ultrasound report from a top international hospital showing a three-month-old baby boy. She delivered a firm ultimatum: “I won’t let our son be born illegitimate. You must divorce your wife immediately. Otherwise, I will relocate to Europe and erase you from this child’s life forever.”
Blinded by the prospect of a male heir and the fantasy of stepping into high society beside a stunning woman, Michael heartlessly filed for divorce. Ignoring Grace’s tearful pleas and his own parents disowning him, Michael ruthlessly cast his wife and two daughters out of his house with a paltry settlement.
The moment the divorce decree was signed, Michael spent a fortune throwing a lavish wedding at a five-star luxury hotel to bring Victoria home, eagerly anticipating a romantic wedding night.
Late that evening, Michael entered the master bedroom holding a glass of fine red wine, his heart racing as he gazed at Victoria lounging in a silk satin nightgown. He stepped forward to embrace her, but Victoria casually stepped back and pulled a thick stack of legal documents from her handbag, tossing them onto the table.
Suddenly, the bedroom door burst open. Two burly men in black suits stepped inside and stood guard at the entrance. Michael stared in utter shock: “Victoria, what is going on? Where is our son? Why are there strangers in our bridal suite?”
Victoria let out a chilling laugh, her eyes turning as cold as ice.
PART 2
Victoria slowly lit a cigarette, casually exhaling a thin trail of smoke into Michael’s face before speaking with sharp mockery:
“What son? There is no baby! That ultrasound report was just an expensive photoshop edit, you fool.”
Michael stood frozen, the wine glass slipping from his hand and shattering on the floor: “What… what are you talking about? You lied to me?! Why would you do this?!”
Victoria smiled cunningly, pointing at the stack of papers on the table: “I represent a rival corporate conglomerate that you squeezed out last year. My mission was to bleed you completely dry. Every single piece of asset, your company shares, and this very mansion… you signed them all over to me under the ‘pre-marital asset management’ contracts that you didn’t even bother reading because you were blinded by your fake son!”
In that horrific moment, memory crashed back over Michael. During those weeks of blind lust and euphoria over having a male heir, Victoria had handed him dozens of documents to sign under the guise of “joint investments” and “asset protection for our son.” His own greed and stupidity had led him to sign his own financial death warrant.
“Now, you have five minutes to pack your personal belongings and get out,” Victoria ordered coldly. The two bodyguards instantly lunged forward, locking Michael’s arms behind his back and tossing him out of the mansion into a torrential downpour.
In a single night, Michael lost everything: no son, no company, no wealth, thrown out into the rain like a beggar.
Broken and drenched, a humiliated Michael crawled back to Grace’s small rental house, weeping and begging for a second chance. But looking at him through the crack of the door, Grace’s eyes were completely emotionless. She quietly took her two small daughters by the hand and shut the door firmly, erasing her ruthless ex-husband from her life forever.
Michael collapsed on the porch, sobbing uncontrollably in bitter, agonizing regret. The price for his betrayal and blind ambition was a lifetime spent in solitude, poverty, and shame.
