Garcia missed weight for bout but came away with ring win

Haney responds to Ryan Garcia and his confession of fighting under the influence of marijuana: I'm not surprisedDuring an interview for the podcast ‘Fully Tilted’ Ryan Garcia unabashedly admitted to stepping into the ring in the fight against Devin Haney after smoking marijuana for several days and drinking alcohol, and he did so in an effort to show himself superior to his opponent, as he closed his unfortunate comment with this boast: “And yet, I flew in there and kicked his ass. It was a walk in the fucking park. I had tougher fights in sparring,” said a Garcia who is hell-bent on burying his boxing career.

As if his alleged doping wasn’t enough, Garcia’s victory continues to be buried by himself with his every word and action that won’t be cleaned up even when the famous B sample is opened, even though he continues to claim he didn’t take any performance enhancing drugs.

Haney’s reaction: I’m not surprised

The fight between these two fighters ended above the ring in Brooklyn, New York as of Saturday night, April 20, but almost immediately moved to social media platforms and every interview or statement both have made since.

For every thing Garcia says or does there is a response or counterattack from Haney and this was no exception, as the San Francisco, California native immediately responded to Garcia‘s provocation and outburst.

Devin Haney’s words

“I’m not surprised you drank and smoked and knew you were also taking performance enhancing drugs…or maybe you’re ‘trolling’ again (allegedly)” posted Haney on his official profile on X, formerly Twitter, where he also wrote: “You don’t test positive twice by accident. For two different things.”
