Where is Floyd Mayweather? This question has been troubling the combat world. Gervonta Davis has been trying to convince people that the older boxer is being held in Dubai because of money troubles with the authorities. But how true is this? Well, Rick Glaser, an IBHOF elector, shared information on ‘Pretty Boy’.

On X, he wrote, “Just got off the phone with my guy in Dubai, he told me that #Floyd #Mayweather is definitely being held by the Government court system there as he owes a substantial amount of money in Dubai. They take indebtedness over there very seriously. Was told the debt is #unassociated with #Boxing. Floyd’s desperately trying to work things out, to no avail so far. So @Gervontaa #TankDavis is correct that Floyd’s being held there!!!”

The former welterweight champion traveled to the country a few weeks ago. After posting a few images of his time there, he stopped speaking about the trip. Now, as he continues to use his social media regularly without location check-ins, people have been wondering about him.

Glaser’s comments come after Tank had first revealed that ‘Pretty Boy’ was held in Dubai. On X, a fan had earlier sought his nod on the reports of Mayweather being held “hostage” by the authorities. In response, Gervonta Davis replied, “He gotta pay them people that money back..if I’m lying tell him to go live rn.”

Most thought that given Davis’ rocky relationship with Mayweather and his snarky and sarcastic comments about providing ‘Money’ help, his claims of Mayweather being held in Dubai would have been false. Similarly, Glaser’s relationship with Mayweather isn’t the best. He has also made a lot of controversial comments in the past, like wishing mob boss Daniel Kinahan a happy birthday. Regardless, his statement about Mayweather has left people surprised. While this debacle seems serious, especially for Floyd Mayweather, Tank has leveraged it to settle scores with his former promoter. Even 50Cent did so!

Is Tank trying to help Mayweather?

Tank and Mayweather used to be close at one point. However, after the young fighter drifted from Mayweather’s promotions company, things went south. While hostilities lurked around, Tank has made them apparent in this ongoing fiasco.

As soon as Tank took swipes at Mayweather for being held in Dubai, the richest boxer of all time posted a video of Shakur Stevenson on his Instagram. In it, ‘Sugar’ claimed that Tank was projecting his hostility toward him onto Mayweather. He called on him for a fight. In response, Tank wrote on X, “Floyd doesn’t like him either..he only siding w that kid becuz he scared of j prince (the father) and the kid so easy to manipulate, look how he had em go at young boy w the rolls umbrella..kid looking for fame.”

In a subsequent post, he claimed to be offering help to Mayweather get him out of Dubai. Monetary aid? To a fighter who was estimated worth $400 million this year? Possibly sarcasm. On X, he wrote, “They got Floyd a** for real..tell him I’ll send him a wire..LET MY F**KING FAMILY GO…”

In another post, Davis, referring to 50 Cent, added, “Let me call 50, we gotta get [Mayweather] home by Monday.” The rapper and Mayweather share a rocky relationship as well. The duo fell apart when the boxer refused to pay him the money he owed him for running Mayweather Promotions during Mayweather’s time in prison. Now, 50 Cent and Gervonta Davis, both have been taking digs at Floyd on their X platform. As for what’s really happening with Floyd Mayweather, only he can confirm or deny.
