Hearn and De La Hoya have feuded on social media
Things were amicable between the pair during their face-to-face meeting, but their feud erupted again on social media following Garcia’s win.
He said during an appearance on talkSPORT Fight Night: “He’s a strange fella. We’ve had various encounters face-to-face but he seems to just be trolling online.
“Not just my posts but any other posts that have pictures of me, he just goes off on one.
“And he won in that Garcia v Haney, god knows what would have happened if he had lost.
“It is quite flattering, I was listening to the song Stan by Eminem and it made me think of Oscar a little bit.
“I hope that when I get into the office on Monday that there is no letter on the desk, our thoughts are with him.”
Eminem’s famous chart-topper is based on a character called ‘Stan’ who claims to be a huge fan of the rapper.
The term is now often used on social media to represent an obssessed fan of something, which was taken from the song’s title.

Hearn was unimpressed with De La Hoya’s ‘trolling’ on social mediaCredit: Mark Robinson / Matchroom Boxing
Boxing legend De La Hoya runs Golden Boy Promotions in the US, and has been unhappy with Hearn’s entrance into the stateside market with Matchroom Boxing.
His criticism came on social media attached to a picture of Hearn, on which he commented: “Eddie, for the sake of British Boxing just stay in the UK and promote, leave the real promoters to the US market where boxing matters.
“You had your opportunity wasting away hundreds of millions of dollars building nothing in the US.”
Hearn then hit back, writing: “Oscar De La Hoya, genuinely are you ok? You stalk me like a crazed fan.
“You had a great win on Saturday yet I consume your mind 24/7.
“Unfortunately for you, I am a global promoter with 18 world Champions (you have four).”
