One of the topics that has received public attention recently is the unstable relationship between Meghan Markle and Sophie Trudeau, the ex-wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

It is unclear the real reason for Sophie downgrading her friendship with Meghan. However, she is not the first person to spurn the former actress, born in 1981, despite the fact that the Duchess of Sussex seems to cherish her association with them.

In 2023, in an interview with The Telegraph, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson (Fergie), Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, did not really know or meet Meghan.

This statement contradicts what the Sussex couple said previously. In their groundbreaking interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 and their 2023 memoir Spare, the escapist royal couple said Sarah was the one who taught Meghan how to bow when she first met Queen Elizabeth II at The Royal Lodge. in Windsor (UK). Prince Harry added that Sarah was the first person in the family that Meghan met as his girlfriend in October 2016.

Sarah was invited to Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018. The Duchess of Sussex also attended the wedding of Princess Eugenie, Sarah and Andrew’s daughter, in October of the same year.

Sarah also publicly praised Meghan many times. She once said she spoke to Meghan at the late Queen’s funeral in September 2022.

She commented that her former niece-in-law had a beautiful appearance. In another interview with The Telegraph, Sarah praised Meghan for bringing happiness to Harry.

Not to mention, Princess Eugenie is a rare member of the royal family who maintains a close relationship with Harry and Meghan. She visited them many times in America.

Similarly, Hollywood actor George Clooney (62 years old) and his wife, human rights lawyer Amal (46 years old), denied knowing Harry and Meghan well.

They were among 600 guests who witnessed Harry and Meghan exchange their centenary vows at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May 2018.

The famous couple were seated in the main rows, next to Lady Carolyn Warren, wife of John Warren – the late Queen’s advisor, and opposite Princess Margaret’s son, Viscount Linley. They also sat close to Oprah Winfrey and Serena Williams, while the Beckhams and James Corden were farther away.

They were on the list of 200 exclusive guests invited to party all night at Frogmore House. George is said to have danced with both Meghan and Kate.

However, journalist Rachel Johnson wrote in AirMail in 2020 that when Carolyn Bartholomew, Princess Diana’s former roommate, asked how they knew Harry and Meghan, Mr. and Mrs. Clooney replied: “We don’t know.”

The book Finding Freedom said that the Clooneys invited Harry and Meghan to their home in Sonning (Oxfordshire, England) at least twice. George also used a private jet to take the Sussex couple on vacation with his family to Lake Como (Italy) just a few weeks after the royal wedding.

In February 2019, Amal was said to have rented a private plane to wait for Meghan to return home after the baby shower party in New York.
