Liana’s Perfect Plan

Liana opened her eyes. The stark white ceiling, the smell of antiseptic, and the distant, buzzing sound of a telephone signaled she was exactly where her husband wanted her: St. Jude’s Mental Hospital.

She remembered the night before. The romantic dinner, the glass of red wine, and the strange, bitter aftertaste when she swallowed the vitamin pill Richard, her husband, gave her. He said it was a supplement, but Liana, with the sharp instincts of someone who had suspected him for months, had secretly palmed one pill and replaced it with an innocuous one. She knew Richard was planning this since he started questioning her family history with depression.

Richard wanted her legally incapacitated so he could easily take over their multi-million dollar tech company—the one Liana had built herself—and clear the way for Chloe, the young, blonde mistress he had been seeing.

On the fourth day, Liana requested to see her private lawyer, Mr. Peterson. Richard agreed, thinking the lawyer would only witness a completely insane woman.

When Mr. Peterson arrived, Liana dropped the façade. She sat up straight, her eyes razor-sharp, and handed him a small USB drive.

“Mr. Peterson,” she said in her normal, calm voice, “I need you to execute Plan Delta-7. Now.”

Plan Delta-7 was a masterpiece of revenge and calculation.

1. Medical and Legal Evidence: Before entering the hospital, Liana had secretly met with a private doctor and completed a full psychiatric evaluation, all video-recorded, proving her complete sanity. She also photographed the sleeping pill Richard gave her, along with the toxicology report. Lawyer Peterson immediately submitted this evidence to the court, requesting an emergency hearing, thus making Richard liable for attempted grievous bodily harm.

2. The Economic Blow: The company Richard so greedily wanted to seize had been in Liana’s control all along. Liana was the CEO, but she had secretly established a Dual-Class Stock Structure. Liana retained Class B shares with 10 times the voting power of Class A shares (held by Richard and other investors). Richard attempted to move the accounts but couldn’t transfer control of the company. While Richard celebrated, Liana held a confidential meeting with the board, presenting evidence of Richard’s crime and unethical behavior, triggering the Ethics clause in his contract. Immediately, Richard was fired not only from his CFO position but also stripped of all his stock and benefits under their prenuptial agreement.

3. The Personal Collapse: The diamond necklace Richard bought for Chloe was purchased using a company credit card, a serious violation of financial policy. The USB Liana gave her lawyer also contained a series of emails and text messages, including a short video clip recorded by a hidden security camera inside Richard’s office lamp, showing Richard and Chloe mocking Liana and discussing how to have her institutionalized.

As Richard was preparing to pop champagne with Chloe, his phone buzzed. It was an email from Liana’s lawyer: Notice of Divorce and a Restraining Order.

His personal bank accounts were frozen pending investigation. The company had issued a public announcement regarding his termination for “severe breach of fiduciary duty and fraudulent conduct.” Worse, the police were waiting at his front door with an arrest warrant.

Richard had lost the company, his reputation, his freedom, and all his money. He looked at Chloe. The beautiful young girl stared back at him with disgust, realizing Richard was now a penniless wreck.

Liana was discharged the next day. She walked out of St. Jude, no longer the fragile wife Richard believed he had destroyed. She was a powerful businesswoman, armed with evidence, sanity, and a sharp mind.
