Masthead & Team
Meet the desks and the launch-edition bylines behind DailyTin24.
How the newsroom is organised
DailyTin24 is built around a small set of desks. Each desk owns a cluster of topics, develops expertise over time and works with the central editors to keep our tone consistent: calm, clear and constructive.
- Central Editorial Desk: sets daily priorities, edits every story before publication, manages corrections and maintains our standards.
- Energy Desk: covers power, climate solutions, clean technology and the transition of homes and industry.
- City Living Desk: reports on housing, transport, public spaces, local services and the everyday life of cities.
- Culture: film, music, books, games, design and the ideas shaping how people live.
- Wealth: personal finance explainers, work, small business and the economy, written for clarity rather than hype.
- Science: research, health, space and discovery, with care to explain uncertainty.
Launch-edition bylines
The names below appear on stories in our launch edition. Please note: these are launch-edition profiles. They are fictional bylines created to illustrate our format and the beats we plan to cover, in the same way that launch stories on the site are illustrative. As we hire, these profiles will be replaced with real journalists and their verified biographies.
- Maya Lindell, Culture: writes about the screen, stage and page, with a soft spot for small creative scenes that punch above their weight.
- Marcus Vance, Wealth: turns money news into practical, jargon-free explainers about budgets, jobs and markets.
- Dr. Sarah Chen, Science & Health: focuses on medical research and public health, always separating early findings from settled evidence.
- Lucas Soler, Climate & Good News: tracks climate solutions and the community projects that show what progress looks like on the ground.
- Elena Rostova, Mobility & World: covers transport, travel and international stories, with an eye on how ideas move between countries.
- Tariq Al-Mansoor, Education: reports on classrooms, universities and lifelong learning.
- Alex Rivera, host of DailyTin Radio 24: will present our planned audio programme, which is coming soon and not yet on air.
Who signs off
Whatever the byline, every story passes through the Central Editorial Desk before it is published. Editors check sourcing, labels and tone, and they are responsible for corrections. You can read more about this process in our Ethics Charter and Fact-Check Policy.
